|
|
I had hired someone who came a few times a month but she went back to the Philippines. I've also tried several numbers from other posters on the board, but most lived in Haebongchon (I live near the World Cup Stadium) so it was too far for them. I've also tried my Gu office to see about women's programs - no luck. Anyway, could someone PLEASE pass along a phone number? I need someone once a week for maybe 4 hours each time. Thanks so much! |

Out of curiosity, where did you find your last cleaner and how much did you pay her? I'm thinking of hiring someone to come once or twice a week as well.
Would definitely be interested if others have any information on this. |

My last cleaner I found on a classified board (online), but I cannot for the life of me remember where. I paid her 8,000/hour, mostly because she had to trek quite a way to get to my apartment. I've heard others pay about 5,000/hour. She did an AMAZING job - I couldn't believe how spotless my place was. It frees up my time for so much more and it's such a great feeling having a clean place. |

I just "hired" someone for 10,000/hour. I have no idea what fair is, though this being double minimum wage in the states it seems like a high wage. Will let you know how it goes. |

Be amare that the cleaner will often attempt to raise the price before they actually get down to business.
i just had one show up to clean a brand new apartment. I havent' even moved in. We agreed to 30,000 beforehand, and then she suddenly wanted 40,000.
She didn't bring a mop, a bucket, or any cleaning chemicals either. |

I wouldn't pay less than 10,000 an hour (I pay 30,000 won for 3 hours every other week). |

Sounds great.
I'll clean your place for a mere 1,000,000/hour. |

It wasn't an error; it doesn't mean I'd pay any amount over 10,000. That's absurd. What I mean is I wouldn't personally be comfortable paying less than what I do pay (which I included in the parenthesis). |

Wow, way to be judgemental. You must know everything about me and my apartment, not to mention my lifestyle - what an incredible person you are, asshole. It's absolutely none of your or anyone elses business WHY I wish to hire someone (who wishes to be hired) to clean my apartment. So what if I want to sit on my ass all day and watch someone else clean my apartment? Why the hell do you care? What's the point of posting that? Just to be a dick? If so, you were quite successful. Get off the computer and go do something positive for society, there are enough dicks out there already.
As for the pay, like I said I have NO IDEA what's fair. Where I'm from, illegal immigrant workers in such an industry can make far below minimum wage to far above. I was just using it as a compartive standard. I am asking for input, so thank you to those who were contructive and helpful. 10,000 sounds about fair to me I supppose. |

From what I understand, you need to provide all supplies. Everyone I've talked to about the subject has had to as well. Should you already have SOME cleaning chemicals in your house? |
