That is a very nice looking sofa. Have you tried selling it to a recycling center? I know they won't give you the 1.8 you paid but they might give you something. I sold a couch to one of them. (actually I don't know they wouldn't give you 1.8... just assuming)

I think this might be your best bet. I am sure it is a beautiful piece of furniture but you will be hard pressed to get a teacher to pay that price. Try one of the resellers.

Good luck.

Hanguker,
Can't tell if you're interested or just had some free time to research sofas...

Regardless, if you are interested in a sofa around 500-800 new, I would recommend getting one of those your mentioned. As you can see, the leather quality is poor, and the size doesn't match ours. Our was actually over 2 million new, but some bargaining got his price down. It's quality Italian leather. It's not cheap and it's certainly not 'pleather'.

I checked both Gmarket and Auction and for something like we've got, I would suggest imagining something closer to those worth 1.4-1.9.

Of course, don't take my word for it. Before I buy anything like this, I would recommend taking a look at it.

By the way, after we got it, we didn't really like how soft the cushioning was and since we figured on having it for awhile, we had it redone to ensure a long, comfortable life. Also, with the sofa, you will receive three leather pillows as accessories.

Those that are seriously interested, I am willing to negotiate. As always, this is within reason.

This isn't a crap sofa. This is a nice piece of furniture. That's why we bought it.

Anyway, thanks for taking interest.

As for the other poster, I haven't thought of a furniture recycling center. That's a good idea. However, I've been getting a lot of interest in the sofa. I'll go that route if things don't move in the end. Thanks.

Wish I had room for it. It is a nice looking piece of furniture. I like those sectional things. Good luck selling! I hope you get good price. Heavy sigh of envy. LOL.

I just checked with the guy from whose shop I purchased the sofa. He told me that it would cost around 150-200 to ship the sofa to Seoul. Not bad for the size. I suspect the lower end around 150,000.

Just thought people should know since everyone seems to live in/near Seoul on this forum Smile
