I'm leaving my apartment on Saturday morning, but I've messed my flights up and may not be able to leave till the following Friday. Are there any cheaper options than motels of a one week stay?

Goshiwon... If you don't like the transient company in Itaewon, I know a nice dull one in Paju.

Is there a way for you to stay in your apartment the extra week? I know you're probably tried this . . . but the guy I replaced was here for an extra week, so I was in a motel during that time. Sucked for me, convenient for him.

You could try the sauna route, or mix it up by staying in a motel for one or two of those days. I'm sure you could convince a coworker or a friend to hold your luggage for that week.

Just make sure you also have an extension on your visa for that week. If your contract is up on that Saturday, your visa and your ARC might also expire, so you'll need to go to immigration with your plane ticket, passport, and ARC, and have your documents extended.

I don't think Smee was stating that you only get one week. Just refering to the fact that the person was not leaving until a week after originally planned and should make sure to have an extension should the visa date expire.
