Hillary is favored 3 to 1. It's 1 to 3 against.
Ron Paul is favored 1 to 6. It's 6 to 1 against. |

That is about it. Add young and Idealistic university students to that and you have just identified Ron Paul's base-of-support. |
Libertarian Canadians as well, don't forget. Oh, and he gets more money from active duty GI Joe's than any other candidate. And he makes all the sensitive little flag covered flowers on the right nutty in their emotional defensiveness. |

Its true: Ron Paul's entertainment value is not to be denied. Watching him humiliate Giuliani was priceless. |

You're obviously not a gambler. The "favorite" in any race is the entry on which you get the least potential return for each dollar bet. thus, there is only one favorite in each race (unless two entries have exactly the same amount of money bet on them, in which case they are "co-favorites").
In this race, Hillary is the favorite at 1-3, i.e. bet $3, get back $4 if you win. In other races, the odds on a favorite are 3-1 in which case a $3 wager will return $12. $9 profit vs. $1 is a huge difference. |

Too bad none of the above have anything at all to say about the Republican primaries, however...Because here is where Ron Paul's future will be decided.
People can start as many internet polls as they like; they can also start threads and spell "revolution" with "LOVE" until the cows come home. But most of them are not registered Republicans.
And how many people here honestly believe that Republican voters will nominate Ron Paul for president? Any takers on that bet? |
so who would you be putting your money on then? |

US military up to this point hasn't contributed much. Mucy more money will be contributred when the election is a two candidate race
Futhermore RP is a libertarian and the only candidate with the views he has . All the other republican candidates compete against one another. |

Joo, while what you say here is true, it misses the point:
Ron Paul's donations from military service personnel exceed the combined total of ALL of the other Republican candidates. Furthermore, Obama is second in donations from military personnel.
In other words: the military is AGAINST this stupid Iraq war. |

Here it is in perspective.
So Paul got 23 people in uniform to send him money
| Quote: |
The center tallied money from donors who list the Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy and National Guard as an employer. Overall, these donations are miniscule: Obama got 44 contributions worth about $27,000 and Paul 23 for about $19,300. Republican John McCain, an Iraq war supporter and Vietnam prisoner of war, was third with about $18,500 from 32 donors.
In 2004, military personnel contributed $1.2 million to presidential and congressional candidates, the center said. This year, those donations are about $200,000. |

| Altschuler cautioned against reading too much into the early contributions, particularly in such small amounts. "These figures could look very different in a few months." |

Bodog's got some interesting props:
That the Dec. 16th Ron Paul Tea Party will raise more than the $4.3 million raised during his "money bomb" is heavily favored: Yes -900 (You gotta bet 900 to win 100) No +500 (bet 100 to win 500)
But practically a sure thing is:
Will Ron Paul raise a total of $12 million or more in contributions by December 31, 2007? Yes -1750! No +650
With the latest Virginia straw poll results indicating that his steam keeps rolling on, a Yes here may be your best bet:
Will the Ron Paul Tea Party 2007 meet its goal of raising $10 million or more in donations? Yes +250 No -400 |

I like this. Someone who isn't even a candidate has a better chance of being elected than RP. |

You have been long suffering from an obsession to see the world through Ron Paul-colored glasses, haven't you? You might benefit from professional help. |
