I posted elsewhere a Christmas Fling the teacher but here is a Korea version.

If nothing else, it shows a great teaching tool (for assessment or fun). I just wrote a long blog post about how to use it and how to make it using the Content Generator. Very easy. On EFl Classroom 2.0

So test your knowledge. ....... Can you fling the teacher?

I got every one!

Not particularly proud of getting the boy band one, though....

Thanks for the positive replies.

I'll have to post up a tougher one for you old timers Smile

I think Fling the teacher is a great teaching tool. Students can use in the classroom, as a whole class game and/or review at home for study. I wish it had voice but unfortunately it doesn't.....

If you want to know more about how to make the Fling the Teacher (it is free and downloadable - get the content generator at www.contentgenerator.com), visit EFL Classroom 2.0

I will make a Fling the Teacher directory of the dozen or so games I have at present, most grammar review - in our games page directory. Just click and play. Many, many more games there also.

Cheers,

DD

PS> here's a christmas edition.

Even choosing the appearance of the teacher would be a lot of fun and a chance to practice colours, facial features and directions. Wonderful tool.

I just tested my grade 6 class on the big screen in our classroom. To my surprise, they answered every question correctly... altho the class was split on whether the Korean War took place in the 40's or 50's. 50's won by a two vote margin in the end!

Excellent ddeuel. I'd love to try and do this in class but thought that it only really worked with multiple computers for the students. But as I saw ^^ up here somebody tried on the AV and it worked fine.

Love the Monty Python style eye moving from the teacher as you choose their attributes.

Another great thing about Fling the Teacher is to give this as a task for students (probably high school). The students make the game and then test their classmates. Can be general knowledge but it could/should be something they are taking in either English class or even in other subjects but with the game in English.

My bad with the link. Andrew Field's site is at www.contentgenerator.net

I like it! There's a problem though with the program to make my own version and someone else already mentioned that on the linked site. What did you do to overcome that?

Unfortunately to get the program you have to join the forum he has.....I've done the leg work and you can get it here

http://www.esnips.com/doc/f454b810-ccd4-4179-a7d5-84998257c918/Fling-the-Teacher----Game-Generator

But take a look at the other material. I've also used the matching and Multiple choice generators thought Fling takes the cake......

I hope many teachers from around the world will take up my invitation to make a general quiz about their country and I can add those to a directory....originally this was used to teach History and Andrew has a great list of dozens for teaching history.

Got the very last question wrong about the time difference. I said 12 instead of 13 hours. Would it not depend on whether or not daylight savings is being used or not? I call bollocks on that question haha.

Wow, I can't believe I knew every one. I'm kind of ashamed that as soon as I read "boy band" and "13 members" I automatically knew the answer.
