I need to see a dentist. Has anyone had any really good experiences in Seoul with Dentists who speak English? Who do you recommend? Also, I've heard it's a good idea to bring your own needles, is this true? |

I had good experiences with dentists at the Seoul University Dental Hospital ... As well as the dentists I have seen speaking fairly good english ... They have a great International liason person .. who will go with you as needed ... And help with the parts of the process where people don't speak English ... which for me was paying the bill and making the appointments and finding your way around ... They have a website ... I had one bad experience with a local dentist who would not speak English and appeared to not understand me ... and who actually did the wrong thing .... (I had to travel to get to the Dental Hospital so was seeing a local dentist to follow the dressings for a week or so ... but after that bad experience ... I went back to the Dental hospital that afternoon and for the followup appointments ...)

If you're in the Pyeongchon/Anyang area, there's an excellent dentist on the third floor of tower A (or possibly B) of the Acrotower. The place is called Acro-chi-gwa, and if you want, I'll find the phone number for you. You don't need to take your own needles. (?!) |

Thanks for all the replies! I also saw the other replies posted for dentists in the Gangnam area - so have a pretty good list now!
I'd heard it was important to bring your own needles because the sterilization method is using used needles and boiling them in water and that this process doens't kill everything. Anyone heard if this is true or not? |
