I agree, there are alot of headcases and mentally voided people working in Korea, but then again there are alot of "those" people everywhere.

So you say you never had a day where you felt like pulling your hair because of the way Korean people treat you (if you are a foreigner)?

Some of the people who B!tch and moan about being in Korea in fact really like Korea, but get frustrated by what happens and Dave's has become a convenient place to vent and rant about something that bothers them and it helps them get through the day so they don't keep things bottled up.

As you are venting about people who whine and complain about the problems they have in Korea, they have the right to complain about the stuff that bothers them in Korea...........

It's good the consulates will be giving interviews and asking about emotional issues. Maybe they'll weed out the head cases and Korea will be done with those.

If I ever become a DOS here, and one of my white-faced hired hands says "I hate Korea", he'll be shown the door if these new laws go into effect. I'll make sure of it.

Those who want to stay here and love it here should not be excluded because of old misdemeanors if those who hate it here are allowed to stay. If one must go home because of sweeping pigoen-holing laws, the other should be forced to do what he really wants to do in his heart.

Get rid of the head-case moochers, South Korea.

for me, it's not that i hate korea, rather that there are certain annoyances that make no sense that get called 'cultural differences' when they should be called what they really are: BS

Another example of arguing the extremes and ignoring the fact that reality likes to piss around somewhere in the middle.

There's nothing wrong with criticizing aspects of a different culture, because not all things are created equal, but I never see the point of getting angry and bent out of shape about it. Culture is a slow evolutionary process that happens how it happens. It's makes as little sense as, if you cat scratches you one night, going on-line and bitching and moaning about claws.

Just inform the cat how you'd like things done, or get another cat.

The OP appears to be Korean or does not fluently speak and write English. A xenophobic Korean or a foreigner trying to emulate one?

Actually, many people who are the complaining and moaning type who really hate Koreans passionately are well liked by their boss. They come, make money, save money, go home, and basically just do their job.

And don't think for a minute that these "interviews" will help anything. Everyone can lie right through their teeth at an interview. At least I hope most people have this capability.

Actually, " 'your fired' " is something I don't understand either.

But, maybe you're having a bad day, or maybe, you're just tired. Anyway, relax and try coping with your anger or you'll be the one who hears the words "you're fired."

I think Systor just kind of temporarily flipped out, I don't know who he or she is, but his/her post , I don't know how to put it. It has certain quality that has all happened to us on occasion. As has on at odd times numerous posters here (including a number of former moderators).

He /she just flipped out. I don't know why it caught my eye. There was something nice, about the flipped out clarity a certain well deranged clarity about it.

I sent Him/her PM on this. Systor You had better not be a Canadian Homosexual Pedophille. Well if you are you still have my sympathy in a way.

How many foreign teachers does it take to make one of those stupid exposes Systor? You think this will change anything?

I'm sure most Koreans don't care about us one way or another, but there seems to be an active minority that wants us gone, and I highly doubt a bunch of new hoops is going to change that.

Maybe if they increased the E2 requirements to being a minimum of a Master's degree and a CELTA, that might change the impression Korean's have of foreign teachers, but otherwise it will be more of the same.
