Hey,
This is my first New Years Eve in Korea... where is a good place to go? We want to go to one place, not go barhopping in the freezing cold. Are there any parties anyone knows of? |

Best to just stay home like I always do. I'm asleep before the New Year even rolls in... |

| Fireworks and lots of dangerous hand held Roman candles in Jongno (City Hall, Gwanghwamun, Cheonggyechon area). Wear a hat to keep black stuff out of your eyes. |

Partied the NYE away at The W last year...
Had a fantastic time... checked-in with friends around lunch... chilled out, did an hour in the gym, some time around the pool... drank, took some hot baths on the roof overlooking the Han River... got sorted for the evening and enjoyed the festivities downstairs in Woo Bar where they had some 50,000W (I think) drink bands you could buy for unlimited drinks including Champagne... entry to the bar was free if you had a room, otherwise I think it wouldve been around 20,000W 40,000W in...
As it turned out there was a better party just next door at the WalkerHill... traditionally The W is better but they wasted part of the night with some famous Korean dude on stage who was trying to crack jokes... we stopped by the WalkerHill ever so briefly before heading off for the very last part of the night at Circle in Apgujeong... |

For NYE stay away from the big hotels. They advertise a lot of
stuff that looks good, but it is usually severely lame.
If you want to go out I would recommend:
Sinchon - Mike's Cabin
Sinchon - Woodstock
Itaewon - RMT
Itaewon - Wolfhound
Buchon - Canada Buddy
Incheon - Hang Yourself
Get some buds together, hunker down and party.
PS: Take "buds" as pun. If you have any.

| I'm getting the hell out of Korea and celebrating new years in a different country. Woo hoo, happy new years from the Philippines! |

| If it's your first new year's in Korea, then go to PoShinGak (the big bell) in Jongro 2-Ga. It'll be insane, but it's something everyone should do at least once. It's the Time's Square equivalent for Seoul. |
