yes, just a month! i was starting to think they'd lost my application form, but my police check arrived yesterday. you need to download the pdf file from the Ministry of Justice website (http://www.justice.govt.nz/privacy/) and fax it to them.

I had to get a New Zealand police check before I could submit my EPIK application. It took around 3 weeks and only cost me the price of a stamp (if memory serves me correctly). Then again, I might have faxed it through - can't remember. Relatively quick and zero cost.

Hey I faxed my check request a while ago (end of October) but nothing has arrived yet, I didn't ask if it costs anything, did it?

All the info is on the Ministry of Justice website.

http://www.justice.govt.nz/privacy/

How long will it take to process my application?

Under the Privacy Act, the Ministry of Justice has a maximum of twenty working days to process applications. If there is going to be a delay for longer than twenty days, we will write and advise you of the reasons for the delay.

Identification
The identification may be a Driver Licence OR if you do not hold a
driver licence, a Passport.

Fees
None. It will cost you a stamp or the price of sending a fax

And here is the downloadable form you need to fill out and send to them:
http://www.justice.govt.nz/privacy/request-by-individual.pdf

So...I think that covers everything. Laughing
