G'dday!
Im a student teacher, only 6months away from completing my postgraduate teaching qualification in Middle Schooling in South Australia. Since I have quite a bit of free time, ie until the beginning of March 2008. I was wondering if there might be some place in the world that accepts people for short term teaching positions. I dont mind about low wages but basically I would hope to at least break even after paying for airfares and so on. I have already looked at various volunteer agencies but in general they seem to want to charge quite a hefty fee for the privilege.
I have some prior experience as a Training Officer in Industrial Training Centres, and more than 25 years ago, I did spend 6months teaching English in Nepal... so Im no spring chicken either...any suggestions?
Cheers [/b] |

G'day! Are you a relation of mine?
China used to be a good place to work short term - I'm not sure if that is still the case though. |

Look for threads on "winter camps."
They are -often- on the up and up and I'd guess you would at least break even. Mid Jan to mid Feb I think they run. |
