Did anyone else catch Mark Geragos on Larry King saying that he finds it ludicrous that a woman can be charged as a sexual offender for doing something that every 14-year-old boy dreams would happen to him! I can't believe he had the balls to say that!
Oh, if only my eighth grade English teacher, Ms. (can't remember her name, but wore knee length boots and had a smokin British accent, classic MILF) would have "offended" me. Shazaam! |

I was quite accurate. The vast majority of jurisdictions recognize the age of consent at 16 or younger.

Utah's minimum is 14-16, unless assailant is 27 or older. |

You were giving Maryland as one example from among the fifty states, weren't you? I just gave a counterexample.

What I said was accurate in regard to MD. I also stated that the laws vary by state.

No. When someone is put on trial for statutory rape, they are presumed innocent. It just obviates the difficult discussion of whether coercion occurred when there is sexual intercourse with a minor. |

That was meant to mean Illinois specifically, not anywhere else. The age of consent in IL is 17 as far as I know. Two shagging minors 17 or under is not illegal as far as I know. - Should they consent, of course  |

Despite his stab at "bad poetry," it worked, and "I got the girl," Douglas writes. |
