hey girls, what products do you use on your curls, what products do you recommend, and where in Seoul do you buy them? my current stuff is just about to run out, so I need to go shopping for more.
I've seen some of the Tigi range in salons, but I've never tried their stuff before.
=)

There's a product called Keratin, comes in a yellow bottle and it works really well on curly hair I've found.

I broke down and got a straight perm at the end of the summer. I used some stuff from those Italian bath/beauty product stores that were popular in 2003-2004 then went out of business.

Now my straight perm is growing out and I have to use a hair straightner to look normal. Any idea if a straight perm can be removed?

Try this. Their shampoos and conditioners are great, too, and they ship to Korea. Not cheap, but definitely worth it.

Jennateacher, it can't be removed, but you can get a curly perm put in to go back to curly. I jsut had that done a month ago. Just check it out with your stylist. Mine wouldn't do it until my straight perm had grown out half way (talk about a pain straightening every morning though). I am back to my curly hair and so happy!

OP, Misenscene sells a spray that comes in a purple bottle called hair essence or something like that. It's good if you are used to using a leave-in conditioner. It's a bit hard tofind, but really nice. I bring back John Frieda Frizz Ease with me from home or have it sent over. There's no replacing liquid gold.

I use Aveda products. They have a range called Be Curly. There's a shampoo, conditioner and a moisture cream for styling. I've found a place in Ilsan that stocks Aveda.

So many Korean women have permed hair, so finding curly hair products is a breeze. I tried some stuff from MUTE (I think?) and it worked fine.

That's what I have too. If you blow dry your hair with the brushy thing, it straightens pretty well, then use the curling iron once over to really make it last. The only things that have saved me in Korea are a fantastic stylist and my dad being willing to ship whatever I want over. Thanks Dad!

Aveda products are easy to find, but expensive! but, its good to know that their stuff is cruelty-free. Ithaca, do you use the Curl Control or the Curl Enhancer?

Carmi, is the Keratin stuff a gel? or a leave-in conditioner? I found it at Olive Young, but there were quite a few products, and i got confused. I bought the "Keratin hair aqua essence', I'll see how it goes.

this online store is pretty good, but you need to be able to read Hangul.
Has anyone seen Mop Top products here ?

Yips! That's the stuff...you can get the shampoo and the leave in conditioner and then there's also the gel. But it's in a yellow bottle so that's the distinguishing factor.
