A friend of a friend who was at the Korean Consular's office in Kenya last year said that any Canadians entering Korea on a tourist or E-series visa would have to take a loyalty oath to Korea and make a batch of kimchi before being admitted to the country. |

Immi told me yesterday that foreigners would no longer be allowed to have any contact with non-work-related Koreans. |

I was told that I would be forced to stay in one of these.
and would not be allowed physical contact with any natives just in case I happened to contaminate them with free thinking germs. |

This just in from Jongno Branch of Seoul Immigration. (I was down there hiring me some Japanese gardeners)
All planned E-2 visa revisions have been shelved. Instead, regardless of visa status, only foreign women will be allowed to teach children ages middle school & under.
Fearing a possible temporary shortage of ETs, they will allow those male teachers currently teaching children to continue, but only via webcams in soon-to-be-completed barracks on Yeongjong-do (Incheon Airport Island).
Call Seoul Immigration or visit their website for details. |

Actually, the same "scientist" here who claimed to have made a breakthrough with stem cells a couple of years ago (after proving the existence of fan death a few years before that) now claims English is a virus that must be stopped at the border. He found that Koreans have no natural immunity against this terrible plague that seems to be devastating the globe. True, in the Korean schools the local teachers have been somewhat successful in at least arresting the development of this invasive disease. Many taxi drivers and most immigration officials also seem to have partial immunity. Yet who will save the children when a simple "Fine, thank you, and you?" will no longer ward off the worst of this mutating threat to hermit kingdoms everywhere? The only thing left to do is to eradicate those pesky foreigners who keep bringing in newer, more Konglish-resistant forms of the toxic language. |

This country knows the real answer. They need to breed their women with Western men, and make sure every future Korean child has at least one native English-speaking parent in the home. |
