My mother was born there and both her parents are Romanian. Now I'm trying to get back to my roots and study the language. I'm interested in a language exchange of English-Romanian or Spanish-Romanian, or if you're studying Romanian, too, I'd like to practise Romanian. Anyone speak Romanian here? |

I'm half-Mexican. I don't really know Romanian, but I can understand some words. |

Yes, very much. I've also visited some smaller Romanian towns, and every place was just so cool. Beautiful and friendly people; the architecture and landscapes are very gothic and almost spooky-like; and, everything is so cheap!!! One place I can honestly say that I will visit again sometime in my lifetime. Highly recommend. |

Buno diminiatza! (I have no idea how that's supposed to be spelled!)
My Romanian consists of about 1/2 now half-forgotten dozen phrases learned from my grandmother. I remember she always used to say something like "Mai baieti pu pa fetti", which meant, roughly, "The little boy who kisses the girls," or something like that. I wish I'd payed closer attention...
A few years ago I was visiting Changwon and bumped into a couple of young Romanian ladies at a pub. I got to chatting with them and kept asking them to speak random phrases in Romanian - I didn't realize how much I missed hearing it.
Good Luck! |

I didn't know Romania produced speakers. Mine are made in China. |

I'm in the same boat, except my mum was born in Canada. Trying to learn it in whatever time I can squeeze it into, but going nowhere without a tutor. |

Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Brasov. I got squeezed in Bucharest often. Avoid the train station. Cluj-Napoca and Brasov - much better memories. |

I suppose so, but honestly, I don't see myself relocating to Romania anytime soon. I'm going home to my husband in Lima Peru on 3 Feb and will probably be in Peru for a long long time. |
