official 9-11 theory would fall in that category too.
but that is a different issue. |

I'm rolling my eyes because you went deliberately off-topic when there are a bazillion threads on this subject.
This thread is about drugs & the drug war.
OH's statement I pretty much agree with. I think it gets more interesting when you get to stuff like heroin, but hey, in terms of the marijuana debate OH's comment is dead-on. |

Thats how "they" (the man) tricks us. Pot might be ok but what about heroin? OMG won't someone please think of the children!
But in fact legalized heroin exists in France and that country doesn't go crazy. People get a scrip and live a normal life. When its illegal people do it under bridges with dirty needles and without any control on its purity. If Merck got the contract to refine it, it would be close to perfect, having clean needles would eliminate the community health risk and the government could by all the opium from Afghanistan to use thus eliminating a narcostate in Afghanistan. Thats like 4 birds with one stone!
Man I'm smart, more like people who support this nonsense war are retarded. |

Keeping it illegal means you are adding value to something with little value. It also means that instead of the government making money (which could then go into prevention programs or rehab or even our debt) criminal organizations make money and then we spend money trying to stop them.
Also, when you make something illegal you make people criminals. The history of E is the perfect example of a harmless substance being singled out thus making millions of people criminals.
Legalize it, corpratize it, tax it. |
Yep, it's clear to most that prohibition policies of any sort are kept in place for the sake of promoting violent criminal syndicates, usurping individual freedoms & extorting public taxes.
Let's not forget one of the main reasons western crusaders have been launched en masse into Afghanistan either.

Question:
Are you of the understanding that the history of AmeriKa's "WAR" on "DRUGS" has been totally exclusive from all these other matters?
No elitist powers, New World Order, Illuminati element involved in the globe's criminal drug cartel?
CUI BONO?

No.
The war on drugs (at least in Canada) started as a racist excuse to punish Chinese migrant workers (see the opium riots). It has been perpetuated by its own myth (drugs are bad) and religious conservatives who don't believe in science or history. Big Pharma just encourages the prohibition with targeted political influencing. |

That is 100% true. Most people do not know where the WOD came from and would be astonished at how blatantly racist the origins are.

To often people who don't so drugs and are not really interested in them believe the nonesense that the TV tells them. Things like:
Pot is a gateway drug: WRONG
Ecstasy can cause Parkinson's: WRONG
Ecstasy causes holes in the brain: WRONG
There are many more but these are my favorite 3 |

Of course that is WRONG. The real gateway drug is MILK. Absolutely 100% of heroin addicts drank milk before they ever began shooting dope. |

yeah love it or hate it...
"endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Those are the words we used to tell our previous government to *beep* off. We started a war with those words. A lot of people have marched off to war with those words in their ear, and I would too if I thought they actually meant anything in the U.S.
but they don't....
I can't think you can rationally argue that being able to do what you want with your own body is not a pursuit of happiness.
Or marrying someone you love, for that matter... |
