yea I might take it just since it is my first ESL job and transfer elsewhere. Is it hard to transfer to another company once I am in South Korea? Do I just use Dave's ESL Cafe to look for other jobs?

*WARNING*

Changing jobs after you get here can be a traumatic experience.

Better make sure it's the right job before you leave.

Spend AT LEAST 15 minutes reading through this forum.

Use the search function.

No, you can't just transfer jobs. You would need to work your notice period with your first job, pay off any penalties 9ie re-imburse airfare, housing deposit etc) and then hope that they give you a letter of release otherwise you won't be able to get another job until the 12 months ofyour first contracthas finished.

Don'tjust focus on the pay, working conditions are a major factor in whether you will be happy in Korea or not, and of course you want to makesure your employer will actually pay you and on time. Speak to the foreign teacher you are replacing, and if possible another teacher also. Get an e-mail adress so you can ask questions knowing the director isn't stood behind them listening to what they say. There is a list a few threads up about what questions to ask, use it.
