I'm looking for a bench (preferrably that does incline and decline), as well as some free weights (with a decent amount of weight). I'm not necessarily looking for something cheap, but if I can manage not to have to buy it new (since I am only planning on being here for a year), that'd be great.

I live in Tongyeong, but am obviously willing to cover shipping costs, as long as they're not too outrageous.

PM me or email me at [email protected] if you have anything (or if you have any suggestions on where I should look).

Thanks!

Your best bed is online shopping at

http://www.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_category/category_small_s.asp?gdsc_cd=300009683

Here's a good-looking bench with 40kilos of weight and free delivery for 129,000 won

http://www.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=113559223

Here's a more basic model (free delivery) with 50kg of weights for 99,000 won

You can buy some extra weights and a doorway pullup bar and you're in business.

Thanks a lot Kenny. I actually already have the doorway pull-up bar (and a treadmill), so all I need is the bench and I'm set.

Also, do you have any idea how big these benches are? I'm 6'4, and the one thing I've noticed with the benches in the stores (only seen a few) is that they were very small--almost like they were made for kids. Otherwise, I'll definitely be ordering from GMarket (though I'll have to get some assistance from coworkers, I've got a very minimal grasp of Korean at this point). 129,000 isn't bad at all, especially with free shipping.

Sorry, I'm an idiot--there are measurements (and I can see you can switch the site to English).

I have a 20kg dumbbell I am looking to sell. Have used it less than a year. What are you willing to pay? Let me know if you are interested....

I bought the one from G-Market, but I don't use it anymore...The bench is too narrow, and it's too easy to mess up your back because it's not properly supported.

Go to a fitness club. Why can you be bothered w/ a cheap bench and are you gonna buy 100 - 150 k's of weights? 50k's aren't enough.

Hmm, since you're not disputing the price, this must be the alternate version of being spliffed...

Okay, so I was looking at the specs of the bench recommended above, and wanted to make sure the dimensions were okay (they sounded a little small to me).

The width of the bench is 270 mm (10.6 inches, which concerns me), and the length is 1180 mm (almost 4 feet). How much smaller is that from a standard-sized bench back home?

Here is the link again to avoid having to scroll through everything:

Like I said, I'm pretty slender, and when I would lay flat and start bench pressing, it felt like too much of my back (lats) and rear shoulders were hanging over the sides, and it made my back twinge a couple of times before I stopped using it.

Yeah, that's what I'm concerned about. I'm not huge, but I'm not tiny either.

There must be somewhere you can get a decent sized bench.
