I've just watched all of "Black Books" and I loved it. I've seen a fair bit of British television, but I'm wondering if I've missed anything that's worth watching. "Little Britain" was hilarious too. I've seen "The Office" and "Extras" and the old stuff like "The Young Ones" and Ben Hill's stuff.

So, Brits or anglophiles, point me in the right direction. I was only beginning to watch the stuff on tvlinks before it was taken down.

Recently I've been watching a lot of Mock the Week on youtube. Hilarious.

And can't forget Look around you. (reminds me of crappy school programs)

Where can you get this stuff from since tvlinks closed, did use tvnova but has that disappeared as well?

The League of Gentlemen was really good, albeit very twisted.

I have to take issue with people recommending 'The Catherine Tate Show', 'The League of Gentlemen', and particularly 'Saxondale'. All absolute toss. But comedy is subjective i suppose.

Peep Show is a great, great show though. Most can be found on google video.

Armando Ianucci, of course. One the unsung heroes of British comedy in my view. Genius!

There was also a show called People Like Us that is very very good.

I agree (though have a soft spot for league of gentlemen)

what really annoys me is when americans say things like 'oh yeah i love british comedy; 'coupling' is a great show'
