It's Kentuckian, a whole'nother, and imho, slightly better |
We Southerners can claim anything by Johnny Cash, Elvis, etc.
Had the Republic of Texas not just said WTF>? Many of you would be Texans. |

| Is Willie Nelson considered Southern? Or is Texan completely different to a Southerner? |

Steve Earle who covers all 3 kinds of music...country western and rock.
Even folk after after he shook the smack.
Someone head to the Opry on the Hill tonight and report back. |

"Favourite Southern Song" is a little ambiguous; does "La Cucaracha" count?
In all seriousness, I'd have to go with "Tuesday's Gone". |

Actually, J.J. Cale wrote "They Call Me the Breeze"
(Lynard Skynard released a famous cover). "Sweet home Alabama" was good, though.

Huh! That's easy. My favourite southern songs are:
Neil Young - 'Southern Pacific'
Neil Young - 'Southern Man'
Icehouse - 'Great Southern Land' |

CCR is from California. That whole louisiana thing is an act, albeit a good one.
I like anything from the Allman Brothers. Maybe Jessica is my favorite, the lyrics of which I will reprint below. |
