Considering going to Moscow for about 2 weeks at the end of January/ start of February. I remember that Moscow is really expensive. Are there any low cost places to stay? And, besides the Kremlin what might be good that time of year? And yes where to meet the very beautiful women there. Smile

www.godzillashostel.com

pretty centrally located, for more you could stay at the Budapest Hotel- better location but about $100 minimum/night.

www.exile.ru for bar reviews

www.redtape.ru for all your questions about Moscow

Good luck. Na zdarovije.

Moscow if you wish, you'll find yourself corrected for not going to St. Pete's.

I've stayed at the Zarya Hotel in Петровско-Разумовская (Petrovsko-Razumovskaya) which is close to the centre, walking distance to subway and pretty good value.

There is a bit of a street market there and plenty of kiosks everywhere around there if you feel hungry.

But all hotel prices in Moscow are insane at the moment (they have been for few years now) and it is v hard to come across good value.

Also is it just me or has exile.ru been down for a few days?

Thanks all, I will go through this info. St. Pete's, not this trip, but maybe in the summer, I do have a business trip I have to make to New Zealand soon.

As for the price of hotels being crazy, I was there in 97, and as far as I know the prices have always been crazy there. They really do think that all foreigners are rich. Sad
