Becuase ANY boeing plane is not 100% aluminium wiring whereas the 380 is 100% alunimium wiring. F_uck, did you look at the link I provided???
When you get home to the U.S., Canada, Aus, N.Z etc please feel free to build your house using alunimium instead of copper and please feel free to let us all know when it burns down.

I don't live in NA and do not have to endure 110v power supplies, inherently more dangerous than the standard 220.

I have found that US electrical standards to be well below the international ones. It is not just the material that is used, it is too the specification. I have used a 100v vacuum cleaner and had to drop the cable after 2 minutes as it was too hot to hold. That would never happend with UK standards.

BTW, aluminium comes in many grades and sections.

So which is the so-called non-critical wiring in the 787 where aluminium replaces copper?

I'ts not in the fly by wire systems. Sorry, I am not an Astronitical/Aeronitcal Engineer but please look the following about Aluminium wiring

http://www.faqs.org/faqs/electrical-wiring/part2/section-16.html

If you are not an aeronautical engineer, why say something like "they will start droping out of the sky in 10 years"?

Because I understand aluminium wiring vs. copper

If you rely on that link on domestic power circuits it is clear that you do not understand aluminium as a material for wiring.

well tbh every 10 years most aircraft get refitted... ithink there is some airbus bashing here...everyone said when boeing produced the first twin engine long haul plane they would start falling out of the skies. the fact reamins both boeing and airbus have leanrt from the mistakes of previous defucnt ccomerical airline builders. the a380 will be as succesful as the 747 maybe even more due to the ever increasing rapid expansion of the comercial avaiation market. The A380 main problem will be in the airports. it s navigation and logistical handling will be a nightmare for airports such as LHR and most aiprots in the US, india and italy where they have ineffecient infrastructure.
in terms of composite materials being used they being used on space modules and aircraft, as well as alluminuim wiring. the best wiring have seen and electrics systems have seen has been in switzerland and the scandinavian countries.
The first a380 to fall out of the sky will be probably due to something obscure and never hear of, such as too many people humping in the first class suites, or too many people walking about, or something simple as pilot error or weather. aircraft these days are safer than your razor whether it airbus boeing, embraer, bombardies etc.
now let us appreciate for once that the europeans have for maybe the first time made something bigger than the obsessed americans with bigness and largness. USA just get over it we make better cars and planes! you make better coke, hmmm burgers computers and are probably more enterprising. but hell get over it. like europeans have to get over that we not the world power anymore!
