Have any of you guys tried this? I did it today and although it was ticklish as heck my feet feels amazing now. Smoother and even rejuvenated! And it only cost W2000.

I'm going to try to go twice a month.

Be warned....for those who are ticklish...it's gonna be hell Wink

I think my feet would kill the fish. Or at least get them high.

Very, very ticklish, but fun.

You're supposed to wash/rinse your feet first, and I've heard they enjoy athlete's foot.

What is this? You put your feet in a tank of fish and they eat on your feet like little fish cleaning a shark?

Where can you find this? They enjoy athletes foot? Wow, those fish are my best friend. I just got to find where they swim around looking for gross feet.

Is this fish native to Korea?

Well this a pretty little cafe called Dr. Fish and Organic Tea where I live. You can have a coffee/muffin/dessert and then do the Dr. Fish thing.
Quite a neat concept I think.

Not sure if the fish are native to Korea, as I think it's taken off in China and Japan too.

And it's only W2000! So cheap!

Where are some of these located? I am interested in going. I know there is one in Gangnam. Any others?

I know of one in Sinchon (wouldn't know how to direct you though) and one in Uijungbu, close to the Station, opposite Burger King.

Hope that works! This is what it looks like. Some words of advice, they seem to attack the person that has the most dead skin first and then go for the next best thing once they've had their fill of the prime stuff.

There are a few in Hongdae as well. If you go out exit #5 at Hongik University, head straight past KFC and take your first right where the Face Shop is. It's about halfway down the street, on the left side, upstairs from Olive Young and Soundholic. A nice cafe with plenty of seating and a good tea and coffee selection. You get free soup and bread with your drink purchase too.

Dr. Fish is just 2000 won but I'm way too ticklish to try it again. My feet did feel really nice after though!

Very interesting.

My co-worker was just telling me about this last night.

I'm gonna check out the HongDae or Shinchon one soon.

There's one near Beomgye station, too. It's originally fro Turkey, where it's used to treat psoriasis and people go all the way into the pools up to their necks! Shocked

There was a big discussion about it on the news. Those pools are breeding grounds for Bacteria. There were numerous cases of people having swelling and having to be hospitalized. The fish are a scam from China (not real dr. fish), as Turkey does NOT export the real "Dr.Fish" as they are an endangered species. Try at your own risk.

That's good info.

It sounded fairly unsanitory when I first heard of it.

I was able to try these out while visiting my fiance and they tickled like crazy. They kept going after a spot on his side and turns out they ate off a scab that was covering a little cut he had and they caused him to bleed a little. His co-teacher took him to the nurse station and they smeared neosporin or something on the spots. We decided that was enough of the Dr. Fish.
