IF you mean the NHIC medical the answer is NO.
You can get travellers insurance at the airport. The cost is about 1000 won per day of travel. |

any way to get it if you already left the airport? i'm pretty far away from the int'l airport and would like the quick and easy way to get it. |

I guess if something happens to you...and you can make it back into the country....and get to a doctor in Korea...it can cover you.
I mean....should I expect the peoples' tax dollars in Canada to cover my medical when I'm not in Canada? |

It depends on your citizenship for companies. Just go to the nearest travel agent and they can hook you up. Make sure to mention any special activity you might be engaged in (scuba, rock climbing, etc.) to make sure it's covered. Travel insurance is important, don't let an extra 30 bucks cost you thousands down the road stuck in a shack/hospital in the local country.
