I just wanted to mention that Eva Air is very good. I wasn't sure I could book with them without being a member, but I bought tickets yesterday. Paid about 500,000 won (incld. tax) for a round trip to Hong Kong. Then bought cheap tickets on Cebu Pacific to the Philippines. Worked out a lot cheaper than trying to go through the others.

The price I got was WELL below what was being offered on other sites. So any of you who are looking to get away for winter...try them. And it's all online and in English. No hassle.

The website is:
http://eservice.evaair.com/online/html/english/plan/eibsa005.asp

Just in case anyone was wanting another option for flights.
Smile

How much did you end up paying in total?

I like EVA as well. Their price is usually quite good and the planes are new and well equipped. I recommend EVA as well.

For the complete round trip from Seoul-Hong Kong-Cebu (with a 5 day 'layover' in Hong Kong), we paid 1,437,000. That's for 2 adults. Pretty good, I thought!

Shocked Wow! I did the same thing with Cathay Pacific last year, during January for a shade over a million.

I'm also a fan of EVA, and I've flown them a few times. Will do so again when I go back to Taipei next weekend. The fares are consistently very reasonable, and the service is very good. The only catch is that the Seoul flight arrives in Taipei at 9pm, which makes most onward connections impossible. When I flew EVA to Hong Kong last year, I stayed in the transit hotel at the airport. My flight out was early in the morning. Although I didn't really mind at the time, I also think that EVA may lose its price advantage this way. The transit hotel's not cheap, and I'd gladly pay the difference for a higher airfare in order to have a nonstop flight.

I flew with EVA to Canada and the flight was around 600,000 won return. EVA has a very generous baggage allowance and the planes are clean, comfortable, and new.

My only complaint was the flight to Canada originated from Taipai so it added extra time to my already long journey ,but I didn't complain too much because of the price. If you don't mind the extra flight time and the layover in Taipai I highly recommend EVA.
