We worked in China before we came here...
To get the visa you have to have a job offer/special papers.
We worked at a nice elementary school with a great foreign office. They sent us our papers and permits and everything, then we went to Hong Kong for a weekend and got the visa. Quite easy, really.
Once you get to your school, they should take you for a medical exam and all that visa crap. But they paid for it and were with us the whole time, then they submit the paperwork and give you your new residency booklet.
I thought it was quite simple, really. They were very eager to please and accommodate us, and make sure we were happy.
The principal even loaned us her car and driver to take us (and parents) to and from the airport on a number of occasions.
We would have stayed, but we needed to make more money.
Also, we got a lot of vacation in China...and we didn't have to be at school if we didn't have class...taught from 10-3, and went home for an hour and a half for lunch. so easy. just not enough money. |
