my flight is at 9am in the morning so taking a bus at 6am would be pushing it. Do they run all night as well?

After about 10 pm or 11 pm the buses are much less specific in their destination. Instead of a bus coming every 20 minutes for Nowon, one will come every hour and only make a run to City Hall or Seoul station. You need to cab it then to your specific destination.

I am not up on the regular bus, but there are different airport specials that go there in the morning. I use to arrive in Seoul on a all night train in the morning around 5:40 at Cheongnyangni Station, and took an airport limousine bus to the airport (10,000 won). I had enough time to arrive at the airport and get to my plane. My flights to Thailand left about 9:30. These buses have different pick up locations in the city, especially at the bigger hotels.

An alternative is that the subway goes there now, take the number one line to Gimpo Airport, and then the AREX Express to the airport.

From where I'm at (Anyang) they start around 5-5:30.
They always have the schedule posted at the limousine bus stops/terminals.

They definitely don't run all night. My friend found that out when he had no way to get into Seoul at midnight....other than the "friendly" taxi touts.

for times. If you're near the Express Bus Terminal in Gangnam they have Express buses earlier, check into it somehow (sorry, I've never used them).

I've had 2 flights at or near 9am in the last couple of months and both times I had no problems with the buses. It depends where you are, though.

Also, if you catch the earliest bus, you'll be surprised at how quickly you'll get to the airport.
