I am hoping someone who's been in a similar situation can give me some information. I worked in Korea last year before returning home for a few months. I lined up a new job and was set to go, but my father got sick and I decided to stay home for a few months. The problem lies in the fact that I had already recieved the Visa. I gave my recruiter notice I wasn't going, but now i'm curious what I need to do to cancel that visa and get another. The Visa itself says it is only valid if I enter by a certain date (which has already passed). I tried calling the consulate but it's always busy. Does anyone know if I will have any trouble getting a new Visa if I go to the consulate? It's a few hours away so I thought i'd ask on this board before making the drive. Thanks in advance.

If you had a visa that was unused and is now expired then you should have no trouble getting a new visa.

Thanks for the response. I finally got through to the consulate as well and they said the same thing. They also notified me of the new E2 requirements. Yikes! apparently I need blood work as well. I just wasn't sure if the visa expired if you didn't enter the country by the listed date, or if it expired a year from when it was issued. Since it's the former, I'm good. Thanks!
