......stupid posters.

It's fun to make fun of an important situation like governments wiretapping their own citizens. Vote Republican in 2008, yall! Fewer civil liberties!

Yes, this is pathetic and in a league with those who dismiss issues of such import with a flip comment like, "Well, all governments do that, big deal." I'd like to know exactly when people stopped caring about their freedom. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance but people can no longer be bothered by even a minimal amount of vigilance to preserve it.

Like the Democrats want to protect our civil rights??? Do you seriously think there is much difference? They are two wings of the same party. Both are funded by the same corporations and peopled by the same apparatus. It was a bipartisan Congress and Democrat Clinton who first gutted habeas corpus when they passed and he signed the Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act in 1995. The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Act just passed the House by a vote of 404-6. Kudos for Dem. Dennis Kucinich for voting against it. Ron Paul would have voted against it except that Pelosi pulled a fast one saying that this bill was too important to spend time discussing and needed a vote right away so he was unaware it was being voted on. He later sent Pelosi a letter objecting to its fast-tracking.

Paul and Kucinich are of another ilk and represent the first fresh change of direction in a long time. Otherwise, there is little reason to think a Republocrat will save us.

Sorry for distracting you from spreading the good word and saving the world, one post at a time, on Dave's ESL Cafe. I'll try not to interfere any more with your eye-opening, highly effective work.

bacasper, you are correct about the intentions of Democrats in regards to civil liberties. They Repubs and Dems both suck, but Dems are still the lesser evil.

Obama will do a better job.

Matt, making political points is better than the crap you posted, the first of which you removed. Thanks for cleaning up the thread.

I actually thought the manbearpig was funny. South Park's a great show.

You really think Obama will do better than any of the other front runner candidates?

Everyone should smarten up and try to get Ron Paul in office, he's the only one who'll make a difference and change the course of things.

I love Ron Paul's foreign policy and hate his domestic ideas. He'd be a good secretary of state where he could run foreign policy.

If I did it was an accident. I figured some admin removed it for whatever reason.

Okay, everyone back to preaching.

Wow, an admin removed manbearpig? That's horrible. I'd like to know exactly why something like that was removed. Aside from copyright, I can see no reason why something like that would be removed other than overzealous admins.
