General rule: 1am on weekdays, 12am on weekends and holidays.
The last train may not pick anyone up after 12:40, though. On the front of each train, there is a destination. That is the stopping point, so even if it's running after 1am, the train will go to that destination. |

In my experience if you try to leave Seoul via subway any later than 11:30pm and you have to transfer on the way home, you'll probably need to take a taxi or a bus to finish the journey. |

It's funny, though--some of those orange buses run really late, especially the ones that pass by Gangnam station. I took the 9410 home at 2:00a.m. on a Saturday night. I had been haggling fruitlessly with the taxis and then I was like, whoa--there's my bus, at 2 a.m.! |
