i drink about the same as I used to at home, but i wish i didn't. beer is so overpriced here. it's ridiculous how having a few bottles of decent beer at home often costs more than my food for the entire day - unless of course it's of the ob/hite varieties.

however, i'm not single, so i almost never go out to drink (well, a few times a month, down from a few times a week in the past). at least i save money that way.

I have more friends in Canada so I drink way more there. In Korea I do a lot of sofa soju drinking which is boring. Plus all my co-workers are old ladies so they never drink which makes me feel uncomfortable when I have more than three shots.

They all comment, Wow, you are such a strong drinker. blah blah. I'm like, what? I used to down a 24 in my Chevy.

They don't get it.

Well i suppose I've always drank a little too much and in korea its no exception. Ashamed to say I often find myself still knocking back the beers come 8 or 9am on the weekends in some dodgy place around hongdae or itaewon.
During the week I'll fit in a few here and there. Having a great laugh though so not too worried. I wanted to be a rock star when I was younger, didnt happen obviously but there's nothing stopping me enjoying a debaucherous rock'n'roll lifestyle. Ill settle down eventually.....

The main reason I don't drink a lot in Canada is because it isn't socially acceptable. I'm currently pretty miserable with sitting around and waiting to go to Korea and if it was "allowed" I would be drunk ALL THE TIME.

i find myself drinking alot more because I feel bored here a lot more...

at home i used to pop over to the local courts, play squash or basketball...

but here it seems like hard work so I end up pouring a glass of wine and watching downloaded TV shows!!

seems a waste sometimes... Me, bad westerner...

I've been drinking less-my job isn't stressful, and the winter here is mild, but lack of sunlight plus beer is a bad idea-I'm at the gym. I will have a few beers on a Friday night with a good meal [like Lotteria it's the best food in the whole entire world, next to Kimchi], but that's about it.

Pineapple with Bulgogi sauce on a hamburger YuM????????????????

For heavens sake go to Burger King and get a real hamburger
