|
|
Was browsing around the Oakley site and came across these new type of sunglasses called "Asian Fit".
http://oakley.com/asian_fit
At least they could have re-worded these new line of sunglasses. Being a Korean, it really doesn't bother me but it irks me that Oakley would have something like this.
FYI, I went to my local Oakley store and tried on a few pairs of the so called Asian Fit sunglasses and none of them fit. I already own two pairs of Oakley's that aren't Asian Fit. Oh well, guess I'm not a true Asian |

Go to a Nike store and you'll see shirts in sizes Asian large, Asian medium, and Asian small.
Same thing.
There's also hockey skates that are designed to better fit Asian feet. |

"Minorities" - can never make 'em happy. Sigh

Ethnic bandage - Every day, millions of people worldwide reach for a Band-Aid. According to its makers, Johnson&Johnson, this sterile adhesive dressing is one of "the world's most trusted woundcare products." Not everyone can wear them discreetly, though: The pinkish hue of Band-Aids stands out glaringly on dark flesh |

"Yellow skin" fit would've been racist. |

Is that the dude from Jumong in the upper right corner of the ad, or is it just my imagination? |

Isn't this actually the opposite of discrimination? I mean, they are trying to help out Asian customers.
Wouldn't discrimination be specifically designing stuff to not fit Asian faces? |

"Asian Fit" is so blatantly racist it disgusts me!! I suggest they call this new line up "Snugger Fit." |

Asian's not a race, though. I wouldn't say it's a culture, either. Japanese are different culturally and have lighter skin than Thai.
Hmmmm....maybe we should care about things that really create problems. |
