When I write a post, even though I check it before I press 'send' I ALWAYS click on 'view your message' afterwards because I want to see how it looks as others will see it. Sad, I know... |

Best to make sure none of the words have been bleeped. |

I purposefully write Dick Cheney so it get bleeped. I've actually started referring to Cheney as "Bleep" Cheney in my daily life.
The big thing is I've declared myself thepeel's nemesis. It's fun for me, but who can keep up with all his post, then not respond, games. |

I always start with General Discussion....then move to Job Related....then to Off-Topic and then I stop. The CE forum just scares me. |

Some days I start in the BST then work up some days I work down.
I try not to be cynical and sarcastic in the Job Related forum.
I refer (in my own mind) to the discussion groups as the "Awful Topics"
and "Generally Disgusting" forums.
I cut and paste too much.
Sometimes I post just to irritate others.
All of my apologies are sincere.
I type with both hands.
I use spell check. |

I always copy-and-save my posts - a habit from the days when the site crashed five times a day. |

I hear you on that one. Whilst I may have the reputation as being cynical, hotheaded and sardonic, all of my job related posts are helpful and kind as are those to posters genuinely seeking help or advice. AND, if you checked my posting history, you'd find that whilst I can be very rude and aggressive when p'd off, I NEVER use bad language or get personal first. But if someone is too idiotic or disrespectful to or is uncapable of debating without resorting to such depths, then they're fair game.
You have spell check...? My Dave's doesn't have it... I'd have to copy and paste into word and then re copy and paste into Daves.
No, you don't... do that - do you...? |

You know, if you use Mozilla Firefox as an internet browser you can download an automatic spell checker add on. It works exactly the same as MSWord for everything you type on the internet - squiggly red lines under misspelled words and a right click option to change to the correct spelling. |

I sometimes find myself wanting to check Dave's at inappropriate moments.
For instance (I've been waiting a safe amount of time to post this one)...
...one morning, lying in bed with another Dave's poster, I couldn't stop thinking about getting up and checking to see if anything had been posted by the people we were out with. I finally confessed this deeply shameful urge (what better place?) and the individual confessed a similar desire.. so we happily indulged.
The End. |
