Hey gang!

So I've been told that I need to get a medical test done ( TBPE,HIV,카니비노이드examination) and I am just wondering where people are getting them done and how much they are costing people.

I called SNU Hospital this afternoon and they told me it would cost between 80,000-100,000 won. The nice lady on the phone did assure me it would be less than 100K.

So how about it folks?

Had mine done here in Cheonan at Dankook University Hospital. Blood work and urine sample for the medical check, plus a compulsory doctor's consultation all cost 49,000 won.

I had a medical here over a year ago. I assume it would be considered out-of-date for use next year?

At the hospital in Yongin. There's no charge as my school pays for it.

Cost me 126K. No urine test. Blood test was 12k. Fees were around 10k. That goddamn chest X-ray cost 94k! For the love of god,
1) why don't they do TB skin test out here?
2) I wonder how much the X-ray costs in the states.

Be wary of SNU. They are very expensive. You go to this dept, (25,000 won), then this dept. (25,000 won), and so on and so on............. Those lovely ladies at the International Clinic sure are helpful - but this is not the place to get a cheap medical.

Did mine the oither day. 40k at my local hospital. Finished in less than 30 minutes. Picked the report up yesterday.
Read the report after I got home.
I am 194 meteres tall and I live in Gyeonggi-do.
I thought I was just fat with hairy man-boobs, but apparently I am also pregnant.

I'll be going back.

Yeah dude, I was wondering about that myself last time I saw you. Try drinking something more expensive than OB, you won't be able to afford to drink so much....Very Happy

OB is swill. I drink.....Hite!

I actually made a good change in my diet after a fast last summer. Lots of veggies, fruits, little meat, and almost no rice/bread/potato. Scarfing down lots of tofu instead of meats.
Until it was too cold, I was riding 100-150 klicks a week, and playing badminton once or twice a week.
I also quit smoking during my fast but since June I have packed on about 13 kilos. Scary.

also, can you tell me exactly what tests need to be done?
Is it just TBPE,HIV, and a 카니비노이드examination? and do they have to be done within a certain timeframe, ie , if i'm getting my visa in mid-Feb, can i get my medical check done now?

Got mine done in Busan at Dong-Eui University Medical Center (inconveniently located nowhere at all near Dong-Eui University). It cost me around 70,000 won and the hospital personnel were professional and friendly.

man, the all the info on this site is making my head spin.
Is it correct that if I am changing schools before March 15, and if i've held an e2 visa before, I do NOT have to get a health check?

Go to your nearest Bogwhansa (govt run clinic)

Blood test/Chest X-Ray/Urine test ( AIDS, TB, etc)

16,000 won.

Unless you have the extra money to burn like most of the other teachers here that are willing to burn 100,000 won +.
