I should know this after 3 years here. I guess I don't go to them that often.
Are the post offices open on Saturdays? Specifically, the Noksapyeong/Itaewon ones?
Thanks. |

Most are until 1pm. Or is it 12? One of those. |

Are you sure ? I found a list a week or so ago on the Net which listed the post offices which were open on Saturday ... It was not all of them by any means ... But if things have changed and they are open ... I would love to know because then I may not have to travel as far tomorrow ...
I am not in Seoul ... Travelling from Gwangju about 30 minutes to Seoul subway ... then to post office.

I've never seen a list. Maybe I'm lucky and when I go on Saturday, the one's I've been to are open.
If all else fails, I guarantee the one at Gwanghwamun is open on Saturday. |

Yes ... that one is on the list ... and I went there last week ... Because it is close to the Australian embassy and I had worked out getting there a couple of weeks ago to vote in our election ... I decided that out of the ones on the list it was going to end up being easiest for me ... I had two boxes (but each not too heavy) and I knew it was very close to the subway exit ... It is also has a dedicated International Mail counter ...
And ended up totally amazing me when the parcels which I sent Saturday morning EMS to Australia because it was not too much more than airmail ... less difference than I thought (and I researched that) ... and I wanted to be sure they would make Christmas ... and it was trackable ... Ended up being delivered to my fathers house in Australia at 11am on Monday morning ... And he lives outside of Sydney ... I thought it would be a couple more days than that even for the trackable option ...
One related question I haven't been able to get an answer to is whether the post offices will be open next Wednesday ... We have day off school with the Presidential election ... but what I don't know is whether banks and post offices etc are closed ... I am considering taking my last needs to get there before Christmas parcel to Gwanghwamun in the morning ... to EMS it and then take a taxi to take a couple of much heavier boxes of books to the closest post office to where I live sometime during next week ... before I fly out on the following weekend ... Post office open on Wednesday would be ideal ... but I don't know how hopeful I am ...

Banks and gov't offices will be closed, so I'd consider the PO to be closed, too. |
