I've been thinking that we really need a sticky about games - where and how to buy them in Korea.
So, if anyone has advice or links, let's post 'em here and then I'll put it together as a sticky or something.

Locally: Look for 한글반 on the box...this means the game is Korean. Also, as I previously posted, if the box weighs a ton, it has a very thick manual inside, necessary for Korean consumers and indicative that the game is in English. Many vendors at Yongsan speak enough English that they can tell you if the game is in English or Korean.

They have a large listing. Click on the thumbnail to bring up a larger window and here they say if the game is in Korean. Again, for those who don't read Korean, look for 한글판으로 즐기세.
Internationally: Utorrent. 
Seriously...I don't know about buying internationally. Many here have done it, but I use Korean games if no English is available. Have to do some research on learning a language through games.
I have had friends and family pick up titles for me in Canada in the past and send them over. |

i always went to that place in Yongsan. you walk through that long tunnel and then go outside across a parking lot. there's all sorts of gaming consoles and games in there.
does anyone know which place i'm talking about? |

| www.play-asia.com out of Hong Kong sells pc and console games, accessories, etc w. free shipping (non-expidited) to Korea. UPS rates are pretty reasonable, 2-3 day shipping. At the bottom of the home page you can select preferred language (including English) and you can use your North American credit card. |

I was just there tonight. I couldn't find the Playstation 3 Eye, though, without being attached to the Japanese Eye of Judgement game for 90,000+ won. I'll have to wait for shipping from play-asia.
As for consoles, if you don't have someone back home who can send it to you, play-asia.com is the safest bet. Language and compatibility and whatnot are very clearly marked, and free shipping (usually around 10 days) is a bonus. |

Looks like a great site - especially with that free shipping. That's what always got me with EB Games, the game would be $60, and the shipping would be another $40. |

| Have you been to like Yongsan Electronics Market yet? I haven't had a chance to go, but I had heard they have games and the like and are foreigner friendly. |
