Has anybody made meatballs? When the recipe calls for bread crumbs, how do make them? Do you tear bread into little pieces? I know this sounds like a silly question, but if I don't have a food processor, how would I get bread that....crumbly? |

we make meatballs quite often. To make the breadcrumbs, you should toast the bread first (and let it cool) then toss it in the blender. If you don't have a blender, then chop it up finely. It all melds together anyway, so no problem.
We also add chopped blanched spinach (pour boiling water over it) to make it more healthy. |

Yes, if you toast the bread first, it will make making meatballs easier.
OR you could just buy a bag of bread crumbs at the store...The bag has a bright yellow band across the top with a big red circle. In the red circle it says 빵 가루 in yellow, and right under that, in English, it says BREAD CRUMBS. I don't see the price on my bag, but I'm sure it wasn't much over W1,000. Oh, in the bottom right corner of the bag is a picture of something (pork cutlet?) that has been breaded. On top of everything else, the middle of the bag is clear, so you can see what you are buying.
Good luck with your meatballs. |
