The new rules will require a visit to a Korean consulate in person for an interview as a requirement for a visa to teach in Korea, according to reports on Dave's.
How far would you have to travel from your hometown in your home country to reach a Korean consulate? |

It's probably a 30-40 minute drive for me to go to the Korean Embassy in Washington DC to get my visa.
I will be getting an F-4 visa so I'm assuming the in person interviews are required to get an E-2 visa. I spoke with a person at the Korean Embassy in DC asking what the required documents would be for an F-4 visa and the person mentioned nothing of an interview. |
