So now that we have to do all this extra work like getting criminal records health tests, in addition to sending our diploma, transcripts, etc... will it now be on file in immigration so we don't have to do this ever again??
Or will we continue to have to do through the same old things year after year?
Sorry if this has already been questioned, but I didn't see it.

i just honestly don't see the point in proving my college education year after year. if i had a degree last year, then why the hell wouldn't i have one this year?! actually proving the medical/criminal check annually makes more sense. |

cazador83,
Your argument makes too much sense for immigration. They can operate a system that keeps track of 47 or 48 million of their own people in this country, but cannot put together a system to keep track of 17,000 foreigners who are working as educators, go figure. I know the argument is that the foreigners are transients, because they don't stay long term, but really, it isn't that hard to create a data base that can be purged when it needs to be by the simple click of a mouse button when someone leaves the country for good. If they come back again then they can do it all over again. Simple, and the pension office has it down for the most part, but the people at immigration work around this like they are doing nuclear physics, afraid to mix the wrong ingredients for fear of a meltdown. |
