Hung himself.

Just as good as a death sentence, I think. He doesn't seem the sort to survive the Thai justice system, and everone's saying Thailand gets first crack at him, with no-one too upset about it.

Leave him in the pit, and cover it up.

He's working with the Thai and Canadian governments to catch pedophiles. Just like American Gangster. Hooting it up with them and whatnot...

Actually there have been no media reports since his courtroom appearance.

The media always does that. They never bother with follow ups once the initial frenzy has faded.

sooooo true. the 24 hours news cycle. it's all about the headline, not the substance.

Frankly, not worth our thought and time. Unless we consider the impact
of his legacy on our jumping through hoops to prove we are not like him.

I can't believe that when they announced the new regulations they proclaimed him as the reason why.

That's just insane.

People from all over are still interested in the case. I got a call from a TV mob in England who wanted to know some details about the guy. They were also curious about English education in Korea. Had to explain the difference between a Hogwan or an Academy and a regular school. They wanted to know where in the heck Mr Niel taught. I told them that he had taught at a public school in Yongin, at Kwangju foreign School, and at a hogwan. Blah Blah Blah. Might ask them what information they have about him to date.
