Love that scene from South Park.

Miss Garrison. Just because Creationism can't be disproved doesn't mean it's not real.

Richard Dawkins. Would you say that because a flying spaghetti monster can't be disproved that you believe in it?

MG. Oh I get it now, God is a flying spaghetti monster...

Cut to scene of Dawkins banging Garrison from behind

MG. Oh yeah Richard! I'm a monkeh alright! Yeah give this monkey what she needs...!

Or something like that. apols for trolling.

Are you no longer a christian if you're divorced and remarry?

Don't mess with Christians. Most of them learn Ju-jitsu at sunday school.

What Venus says has an element of truth.
I used to live in rural Tennessee, which abounds in both macho behvior and Bible-thumping.
This creates a dilemma: how can you strut around, terrifying everybody, while professing a religion which says that the meek will inherit the earth?
To resolve this dilemma, the adult males construct compound sentences using "but" as the conjunction.
Example: "I believe in loving your neighbor, but I'm responsible for protecting my wife and young'uns. So nobody's gonna hurt my wife and young'uns."
This all looks very foolish, because nobody ever THREATENS anybody's wife and young'uns!

You double posted, though, Venus.
See if you can correct that.

Here is a recent controlled experiment which indicates that
"when God sanctions killing, the people listen."

The fist lesson there is for anyone who thinks Christians are pacifists. We ain't.

The seond lesson is don't try anything coercive on rural folks they react very badly.

The third lesson is that one of the participants was from BYU (a Mormon Universty) and Mormons in particular don't take well to real of perceived threats.

If you go to that link you will find the following link on the side margin...

Thinking About God Leads To Generosity, Study Suggests (Aug. 31, 2007)
Researchers investigated how thinking about God and notions of a higher power influenced positive social behaviour,
specifically cooperation with others and generosity to strangers...

Social researchers, psychologists and various self proclaimed scientists devise and engineer any type of study or survey to provide whatever results that suit their agenda.
