Our dog has had diarrhea for about 3 days. Not severe diarrhea, but every 3 hours or so he's got to go and it's usually one movement of brown liquidy soft stuff, then another thinner yellowish speckled with blood, then sometimes a third which is just a spot of blood or two. After the last one he stays in his hunched up position for quite awhile squeezing unproductively.

We stopped feeding him yesterday and put him on fluids. We've been trying to get him to drink barley tea with a bit of sugar thrown in to keep him hydrated with a few calories. His attitude doesn't seem to be suffering other than his embarrassment if he has an accident on the floor.

Why are you telling people on the internet instead of going to a vet immediately?

Yes you should take your dog to the vet for some medicine. My dog had diarrhea like that back home and he was put on a diet of plain rice and boiled chicken until his poop hardened.

Have you tried giving the dog kimchi? That will cure anything.

What consistency is the diarrhoea? Do you think you could take a photo for us? And could you also run your toe through it so we can properly assess its viscosity?

^ My gf just took him in. She feeds him all sorts of crap so constipation and diarrhea are kind of normal for the little guy. The blood speckles were a little eerie though, on our little walk this morning he also vomitted some frothy yellow stuff. Hopefully he's OK.

I try so hard. There are only so many times one can say the same thing. Dogs don't eat candy. Dogs don't eat taffy. Dogs don't eat walnuts.

He goes crazy for apples and that jerky squid stuff.

In general if she eats it, he's going to get some. If I watch her she won't do it, but when I'm not around it's business as usual.

*Also, key-point here, he's her dog. I only babysit.
