iso, bin/cue, mdf/mds files are all DVD (or CD) image files. Meaning you need something to read them and then burn the data onto a DVD (or CD). You can't just burn the iso/bin/cue/mdf/mds file onto a DVD (or CD) and have it work. Even once you have the process down pat it's a tricky process since the discs won't always work. Don't burn anything faster than 4X

unpack the .rar files using WINRAR from http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

Then you will have an image of the game.

Use this to burn the image @ 4x or less on good quality (e.g Verbaitim/Sony) media.

I have burnt hundreds of games and have found "Alcohol120%" to be the best app to burn PS2 games. I'd avoid Nero. If you want a link to Alcohol120 send me a PM.

I googled DRG and came up with: nothing remotely resembling anything to do with disc images or Ps2

Good luck with that one.

I also recommend DVD Decrypter for your burning as it can handle most of the file extensions listed in this thread...for the DVD games anyway.

I've burned a few games and I find it really sketchy regardless of what program you are using or image format you have.

I burned an iso with Alcohol and it didn't work, so I burned it again with Nero and it worked fine. Then another time the exact opposite happened.

I'm under the impression that this is not an exact science. If only people could just agree on one bloody format/burning app.
