So.. another tax year upon me.
However, I got just a couple of papers that constitute my "pay stubs"... really they were just unorganized. Does all this go forward onto my IRS income?
Anyway, just wanted to know how exactly I should go ahead and file these.
Thanks |

You need to file Federal returns no matter what. My guess is that you qualify for the Foreign Income Exclusion provision which implies you will not have to file State returns so long as you have a valid home address in Korea.
There is a separate form (1040?) used solely by US citizens working abroad you should look in to it.

...unless you're from certain states, in which case you do. (like virginia) |

Please consider doing the correct thing which is the following :
Do not file anything at all and do not consider paying the United States government anything until after they have left Iraq completely and are no longer conducting any illegal wars in the middle east or elsewhere.
You will be doing the right thing.

I filled out an IRS form in numbers that corresponded to letters once.
It was easy to decode. 1=A, 2=B, etc.
I spelled: I like spaghetti.
That was all.
If anything, OP, I hope this helps clarify your situation. |

I will assume that you're asking what form you would attach to your tax return form, since you do not receive a W-2 paystub, but a random Korean one instead.
First off, I am not a tax expert, so just consider this informal advice from an acquaintance. I'll leave it up to you to confirm these details and act on your own conclusions.
With that said, I've read on a few sites that you don't have to attach foreign pay stubs to your tax form if this was for a foreign company in a foreign country. If they later want to review your taxes, then they'll request it, and that's when you'd submit it. Here is one such article:

Hope that helps. |

Ask a tax professional. Pay money for that advise if you have to. |
