I dunno about this one, but it don't hurt to ask...

Do they sell Cuban cigars in Korea? Anyone know where? I'm in Incheon, if that helps. I'd even settle for the location of a decent smoke shop in the area, if such a thing exists here.

Each time I visit seoul I go to the first floor of the Hamilton Hotel shopping center in Itaewon and there's a half decent cigar shop in there.
Otherwise I get anyone and everyone I barely recognize to get them through customs for me. As for Incheon... no idea sorry.

There's a store in Song Tan in the main bar alley (as opposed to the main pedestrain mall) that sells them.

There are quite a few places in Seoul. Hotel Grand Intercontinental, Hamilton Shopping Arcade (up the escalator), the Wine Gallery in Apgujeong, to name some of them....plus a duty-free shop at the Incheon airport sells them by the box.

Near the Hyatte/Hyatt Hotel. Itaewon, Pierre is the sole distributor of Cubans in korea. His shop has a smoking room as well.

I don't know Canadian prices but cigars in Korea can run from as low as 6,000 won (Jose Piedra) a piece to 60,000 won (Montecristo "A") It depends on what you want to smoke.......

How much do they cost?!?! The old adage, "if you have to ask how much than you can't afford it" comes into play here. Especially with cigars. You get what you pay for. And Cubans command a high price in korea and elsewhere; supply and demmand. Cigar stores are in business to make money just as any business. I don't think any Cuban cigar in korea can be bought for less than 6-7000 Won per. A box of 20? 300,000 Won. The cigar shop in the Hamilton shopping center in Itaewon are mighty proud of their prices; mighty proud! You might as well buy the business! The owner also is not user friendly. If you buy something and a few days later it turns out to be defected, she does not know you. The same with a box of cigars, a few bad ones in it and she does not know you. She only wants you to spend money. Most of her customers are NOT repeat business but tourists. So she does not give customer service. Pierre, the distributor KNOWS customer service.

Hmm you guys that smoke a 60,000 won cigar, do you also wipe your butts with 10,000 won notes?

Unfortunately, most Koreans do not know enough about good cigar maintenance. I've had my share of "defective" cigars (too dry or "canoeing") but the woman at the Hamilton has been pretty good to me because I am a repeat customer. She occasionally throws in a freebie. That being said Pierre probably offers better service because he is in the business and knows cigars well. By the by, I don't smoke the expensive ones--not within my budget.
