I'm trying to identify a series of textbooks for use in university conversation classes, and would appreciate any suggestions you may have.

Specifically, I am interested in a series in which one book builds upon the other, that is not overly dependent on audio/visual material, and, while it should focus on communicative exercises, incorporates a healthy dose of grammar.

Is there such a series out there?

Currently we're using the Exploring English series, which works well, but is a little dated.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Best wishes.
