I need an MRI scan on my shoulder because an old injury is really giving me *beep* now and I need it fixed.
Anyone had this done?
How much?
If it was a reasonable price, where did you have it?
This is with standard medical insurance.
Also, I'd be interested to hear about recommendations for any subsequent surgery it may require. I think I've f**ked ligaments or cartilage somewhere in there. |

| I've had 2 MRIs in the past 12 months. One was full torso and the other was on my head. I think they were 300,000-400,000 each. |

Wow, a doctor from the Seoul Dae Hospital Bundang branch that "took care" of my knee sent me to a place around Yatap to get an MRI that cost me 600k...
The MRI ended up being too low quality to be able to figure anything out from.
And he sent me to rehab and told me to stop and take a break after is started swelling, saying he didn't know why it was doing that so much... 3 seperate occasions over 5 months.
I'll know better this time around! |

| The cost of an MRI is varied. You can pay anywhere from 200,000 won to 800, 000 won depending on what the doctor needs. Sadly, MRI's are not covered under insurance. |

| I paid 100,000 for a head MRI at a private clinic. Find someone who will give you a "foreigner's discount" |

Rotator cuff problems? I like the NOW clinic in Bundang (but they have branches in Seoul too).
You can expect to pay about 350k for the MRI for that (but ASK BEFORE you get it). There can be a wide variation in cost from clinic to clinic. |

| I was quoted 500,000 for a full body MRI at Yonsei Hospital in Sinchon about 2 years ago. |
