I forgot my ipod and got a little bored on the subway, so I came up with the first verse of The Sound of Music song "My Favorite Things - Korean Princess Version"
"Boob jobs and nose jobs and chin re-allignments,
Gucci, Armani and overpriced garments,
well-being pizza and buffalo wings,
these are a few of my favorite things."
Feel free to add chorus, verse, chorus...... |

"Great gimchi dzigae and bowls of stewed soondae
Red cup shin ramyeon and a dozen mandu
Chuncheon dukalbi and dang-cho gimbap
These are a few of my favorite things"
"When soju hits
When 'one shot' ends
When oh-ship-se-ju
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I throw up so much" |

That's funny, but as a princess myself, I really don't see Korean princesses caring too much for buffalo wings...at least not when they are eating around a guy they like. Like me, I'd say they go for more "feminine" foods when they re around a guy they like...unless they are tomboyish. |

Off to Thailand during Chuseok vacation
While cars fill the highways of this Hermit nation
Exchanging Sejongs for some of their Kings
These are some of my favorite things |

Somebody see if you can fit "ddong-chims" in place of "bee stings." |

when they doong-chim
when they slurp soup
that's when I ask myself
why am I still here in this hell-hole
and I'm reminded of this:
"Sparkling"!
(I tried!) |

Renewing my E-2 visa at Korean immigration,
Confounded CBCs and other frustrations,
All this for the lucre it brings.
Is this really one of my favorite things? |

I am 된장녀
I can't drive a cah[r].
(Inspired by an exfriend who failed the driving test ten times and was hellbent on marrying a rich man who could provide her with a driver. She really was dweinjangnyeo!) |
