What are some inexpensive and appropriate gifts for my co-teachers? Any ideas on what is appropriate for my boss, a male? |

For some reason I bought my co-teachers and the teachers who pick me up and drop me off, Strawberries as a present. Can be a bit pricey but because it's a bit exotic they love them.
Spent a long time thinking about it and from what the majority of people from past threads say it's fruit or some chocolates or something along those lines. |

Socks.
Or soap, toothpaste, underwear, gloves, foaming cleanser. These are all gifts I've received or given. |

This is a really good thread actually.
I've been wondering about this topic myself for the past few weeks.
I love giving and getting socks around the holidays. Korean socks are so adorable... |

For Christmas I bring in wine, cheese, cake, danish butter cookies, etc. Lay out a spread for my coworkers Dec 24. |

Picked up some little gift bags at HomePlus and filled them with chocolate bars and microwaveable popcorn I ordered from Costco...gonna give them out to each office. We don't have co-teachers, but we got a bottle of wine for one of the teachers who is really great and helpful, and for the P and VP. I would think that just about anything imported, and especially stuff they don't see everyday would be great.
Mindmetoo... wow! a whole Christmas spread...they must love you for that! |

Since I'll be going home to America over my winter break, is it appropriate to give a small present to my co-teachers/P/VP when I know I'm going to be getting them nice things from America? I just got them small boxes of chocolate (about 6,000 won each) and I feel bad about it, especially since I read some of the gifts that people listed here...but there are 7 people I need to shop for, and I really didn't want to have to get them nice things for Christmas AND from America... |

1) You bring alcohol to SCHOOL?
2) Most of us aren't made of money. |

Since I work at a public school, and multiple ones at that, I ended up making brownies for everyone. The Principal and VP got... extra large helpings wrapped especially for them.
Everyone seemed to really appreciate that they were home made, and said they were delicious.
It was an economical way to give something to a great number of people that only cost ingredients and time. I just wish I had something bigger than a mini-oven though... |

I was told not to give gifts to the Principal and VP at my PS because they'd be seen as under-the-table money. I was told that after I'd already bought them.
What should I do? |
