Hi,

I noticed the grace period/transfer of visa has been talked about recently on here and wondered how it worked?

Will I be able to leave my school and transfer FOR ANOTHER 12 MONTHS before March 15th? I want to stay at my school to be honest and hope my boss agrees to extend before March 15th, but it's nice to have a plan B and C just incase. I just want to avoid is the long haul home and new visa headache!

I'd like to know about this as well as I need to find a new job very soon.

I phoned the International Cooperation Division(Tel 02-500-9197) this morning and was told that people changing jobs can change now and have until March 15th provide a criminal record check.
The woman I spoke with also said the type of criminal background check required depends on your home countries rules for issuing background checks to it's citizens.
