With all this new visa rules nonsense, have they made changes to the multiple/single entry/re-entry visas? Can they still be got at the airport? Or have those smart people in government changed all that too?

Re-entry permits are the same as before.

You can get a single re-entry at the airport. You need your ARC, passport, application and fee (unless you are from the UK).

I can do that on a Saturday, right? I've just done something crazy and booked a last minute ticket home to Toronto for Christmas leaving on Saturday. I obviously need to sort the visa reentry before then. How long does it normally take at the airport? Thanks!

They are open 7 days a week from 6am - 10pm. (06:00 - 22:00).
It usually takes 15-30 minutes to get done (depending on the lineup in front of you.) I have never seen it take more that 45 minutes.

If you are really worried, take an extra 30k won with you and be happy when they don't take it from you.
